東海岸きっての名テーパー（録音者）のTapeTyrant氏が録音したオリジナル・マスターからはじめて陽の目を見る１９９１年１月１５日のニューヨーク、ブルーノート公演の１部、２部とをそれぞれ完全収録した２枚組ライブです。
さて、今回メガ・ディスクからリリースされたのは東海岸きっての名テーパー（録音者）のTapeTyrant（テープタイラント氏）がアイワ製AD-F450で録音したマスターＤＡＴテープのオリジナル音源です。ＤＡＴが登場する前は主にNAK 300を搭載したソニー製D5によってすべて録音されてましたが、本ブルーノート公演では可能な限り最高の席を確保し周りのチャットを防ぐために録音するのは真剣な仕事だったと伝えられています。ショーター・バンド・ポテンシャルが目の前に迫る新名盤の誕生です。
